Since its founding in La Côte-aux-Fées, Switzerland, in 1874, PIAGET has continuously refined its expertise in ultra-thin movements. In 1969, the brand launched its iconic “21st Century Collection,” establishing its early creative style. This jewelry watch collection, crafted by artisans with artistic ingenuity and relentless pursuit of perfection, created pioneering masterpieces that became classics.
Precious metals skillfully presented fabric-like delicate textures, complemented by colorful decorative gemstones, imbuing bracelet watches and pendant timepieces with a natural, harmonious beauty, offering a unique way to wear time.
In 2024, on its 150th anniversary, PIAGET reignites the creative spark that originated in the 1960s and 70s. Stéphanie Sivrière, Design Director of PIAGET High Jewelry Watches, states: “When we began designing the 150th anniversary collection in 2022, our goal was not to replicate classic originals, but to draw inspiration from them, recreating the bold style, original ingenuity, and elegant flair that PIAGET displayed at the dawn of contemporary trends.”
The new collection features 96 pieces, crafted at PIAGET’s high jewelry workshop in Geneva, interpreting the art of living through exquisite craftsmanship: joyful, refined luxury, and vibrant colors – distinctive characteristics of PIAGET jewelry. The new Essence of Extraleganza high jewelry collection stars gold as the main protagonist, with precious gemstones as captivating accents, interpreting a unique, free-spirited personality for the gentlemen and ladies who wear these pieces.
Both in design and gemstone selection, the new 150th anniversary collection embodies diverse ingenuity, presented through PIAGET’s three signature themes: “Elegantly Unconventional,” “Piaget Society,” and “Artisanal Excellence.”
Elegantly Unconventional
True to its name, this theme embodies a harmonious fusion of unconventional flair and elegant charm, showcasing PIAGET’s abundant creativity and avant-garde vision. Against the backdrop of warm golden light, rare gemstones radiate dazzling brilliance.
As PIAGET’s exemplary work since 1969, the pendant timepiece is presented in a stunning combination of turquoise, malachite, and yellow sapphire. Jewelry masters have meticulously designed three different ways to wear it, exhibiting a gorgeously fluid visual effect.
The diamond-paved twisted gold chain is adorned with blue and green gemstone beads, including a 6.11-carat aquamarine and a 29.24-carat yellow sapphire from Sri Lanka. This pendant timepiece features a trapezoidal turquoise dial set with diamonds, which can be easily detached from the long necklace and worn on the wrist using a strap with a fastening system.
Another set of jewelry pieces adopts an intense, vibrant color design, using a combination of red chalcedony, spessartite garnet, yellow sapphire, and diamonds to fully express PIAGET’s luxurious and eye-catching style.
The rose gold necklace, entirely handcrafted, is set with trapezoidal-cut red chalcedony, presenting a striking orange gradient that harmoniously interplays with brilliant-cut diamonds and yellow sapphires interspersed throughout. The centerpiece of the necklace is a 21.23-carat cushion-cut spessartite garnet, echoing the design of the matching ring and earrings.
PIAGET Essence of Extraleganza High Jewelry Bracelet
The convertible design bracelet presents a glamorous encounter between rose gold, pink sapphire, and spessartite garnet, embodying extraordinary creativity and exquisite craftsmanship.
Inspired by haute couture, this jewelry piece features a rose gold Milanese mesh bracelet with a subtle asymmetrical design, showcasing PIAGET’s unique ingenuity. The edges of the twisted mesh gold chain are adorned with brilliant diamonds, and the chain is engraved with PIAGET’s Palace Decor, a motif created in the 1960s.
It is set with a 4.42-carat pink sapphire from Madagascar and a 6.4-carat spessartite garnet.
This scarf-like necklace, crafted in titanium, draws inspiration from a 1984 piece and appears as if cut from cloud-like, lightweight colored silk. Nearly 1,500 gemstones adorn it, ranging from sapphires and spessartite garnets to tourmalines, meticulously arranged according to subtle color gradations. Each gemstone is set in a metal base of the same color.
The necklace design is ethereal and flowing, yet strikingly eye-catching, with matching pieces including a bracelet, ring, and earrings. Additionally, a two-tone version of the same design concept is available, featuring blue sapphires paired with translucent white diamonds.
PIAGET’s gemstone experts spent over two years carefully collecting extremely rare round emeralds to showcase on this unique white gold necklace.
Green gemstones totaling over 30 carats are paved throughout, with tightly interlocking links displaying a rich variety of materials and gemstone cuts: round and long step-cut emeralds, pavé-set brilliant-cut diamonds, and gold engraved with the Palace Decor motif interplay, emphasizing the overall fluid, cascading beauty.
The matching ring is set with a 5.72-carat Colombian emerald, surrounded by an array of round and long step-cut diamonds. The complete set also includes another ring, two pairs of earrings, and an ultra-thin wristwatch featuring a tourbillon movement.
This V-shaped necklace, adorned with exquisite gemstones, composes an enchanting symphony based on PIAGET’s signature blue hue. The center of the necklace features a 13.05-carat blue sapphire from Madagascar, complemented by double rows of sapphires, tourmalines, and marquise-cut aquamarines.
The gold chain, engraved with the Palace Decor motif, cascades with lively opals, turquoise, and diamonds, creating a magnificent gemstone waterfall. The bracelet is set with 26 rose and violet sapphires totaling nearly 56 carats. The fluid gold lines appear to float in mid-air, outlining the natural contours of the gemstones, showcasing extraordinary goldsmithing skills. Continuing this design concept, PIAGET also introduces a ring set with violet sapphires and a pair of stunning earrings adorned with 18 violet sapphires.
This unique timepiece remarkably incorporates nearly 40 long step-cut Colombian emeralds, totaling 26.11 carats, a truly extraordinary feat in the realm of jewelry setting.
The watch is entirely paved with long step-cut emeralds and diamonds, including the sides, showcasing an ingenious original design. The watch body is outlined by twisted gold lines, with gemstones arranged in varying heights, giving the piece a rich sense of depth.
