Brand Background

CHAN LUU

American designer Chan Luu was born in a picturesque coastal town in Vietnam. As a young girl, she immigrated to the United States due to war, studying business at Boston University and later fashion design in Los Angeles.

She worked as a sales associate, manufacturing assistant, and fashion buyer before realizing her dream of designing jewelry after accumulating over 20 years of industry experience. In 1996, driven by her passion for jewelry and nostalgia for her homeland, she officially launched her eponymous jewelry brand, CHAN LUU.

CHAN LUU’s design philosophy centers on “cultural fusion.” When Asian elements meet California spirit, they construct CHAN LUU’s unique artistic world. The designer incorporates her childhood memories of the Vietnamese coast, handcrafted items and ancient objects seen during her world travels, and the modern aesthetics of the American fashion industry into her new designs.
