This year introduces the La Moselle necklace, with a theme very close to the heart of founder Klaus Stenzhorn, who was born in this picturesque region of southwestern Germany. Here, the Moselle River winds through deep green valleys, overlooking fairytale castles and medieval villages that epitomize old European charm. In this idyllic region, sun-dappled memories of childhood summers inspired Klaus to create the La Moselle necklace, capturing these intoxicating moments. Klaus drew inspiration from the famous Moselle white wines cultivated here for centuries, particularly the ancient local custom of planting roses, known as “les roses du vin.”
These noble roses serve as guardians of the precious grapevines. Highly sensitive to even minute changes in weather or soil conditions, their health status alerts farmers to the well-being of the vines. Beyond providing these crucial survival services, the roses offer a delightful visual spectacle, blooming with vibrant red flowers in the shade of the vines.
The La Moselle necklace is a testament to Stenzhorn’s craftsmanship, a unique masterpiece. It features two blooming red roses delicately suspended on a “grapevine” around the neck, adorned with sparkling diamonds that evoke the freshness of dewdrops. Clusters of the sweetest red grapes dot the vine. This necklace gracefully encircles the neck, reflecting the curling tendrils of the vine, and culminates in two tender, newly unfurled vine leaves.

Diamonds and rubies are the two gemstones used to create this captivating story. The diamonds are set in white gold links of a flexible tapered necklace that sits perfectly at the neckline. The vine’s leaves are paved with white diamonds, while marquise and brilliant-cut diamonds form the dazzling stamen and pistils at the center of the roses.
The effect of curved petals is achieved through invisible setting techniques. Each ruby is carefully selected for perfect color matching, then individually cut and slid onto a gold base. This base is invisible as the rubies are seamlessly arranged together without gaps exposing the foundation.
